Four forest collaboratives win OWEB funding as state re‑issues small solicitation

Successful projects include the Southern Willamette Forest Collaborative (planning and zone‑of‑agreement support), the Deschutes Forest Collaborative (future desired conditions addendum), the Northern Blues Collaborative (governance and zone‑of‑agreement testing), and the Wild Rivers Forest‑Coast Collaborative (planning and biomass work; reduced award).
Kyle Sullivan of the Oregon Department of Forestry described the program’s mission to accelerate landscape‑scale restoration on federal forests through collaborative planning and implementation. The board approved staff’s recommendations by roll call.
