During committee reports the Policy Committee presented a set of policies for first reading; these were provided for board review but not for adoption.
Policies presented for initial consideration included GBN-JBA (Sexual Harassment), GCBDA/GDBDA (Family Medical Leave), GCBDC/GDBDC (Domestic Violence, Harassment, Sexual Assault, Bias, or Stalking Leave), GCBDF/GDBDF (Paid Family and Medical Leave Insurance), IIA (Instructional Materials) and JHH (Student Suicide Prevention). The committee noted these items were at the first-reading stage and would return for action or further revision at subsequent meetings.
No board votes occurred on these policies at the Dec. 12 meeting; the listing is available in the meeting packet and will proceed through the board's standard two-reading process before adoption.
