Students perform and display projects at Vernonia board meeting; choir sings National Anthem
Summary
High school choir sang the National Anthem, student leaders updated the board on activities, Mrs. Campbell's class produced travel brochures, three new math curricula are on display, and robotics students gave a demonstration during the March 13 meeting.
The meeting included a showcase of student work and extracurricular activities. The high school choir performed the National Anthem. High school leadership representatives Nova Gleason and Charlotte Schlegel updated the board on student activities and the focus of the Leadership class. Principal Nate Underwood noted Vernonia travel brochures made by Mrs. Campbell's class were placed on the table for board review and that three new math curricula are on display in the library for staff and board review.
Brett Costley's robotics class provided a demonstration for the board and Amy Cieloha acknowledged student wrestlers—Cannon McLeod, Noah Bateman, Ethan Martin and Hansom Forster—for competing at the state wrestling meet. The board had no questions about the administrator reports following the presentations.
