The Lakeview Town Council approved a $14 per-household Law Enforcement Public Service Fee following a second and final public hearing on Nov. 12, 2025. Councilor Tracy moved to adopt the fee and Councilor Wishart seconded; the motion passed 4–1. The meeting record states the funds will be "exclusively used for law enforcement purposes."
Councilors and at least one conference-room participant framed the fee as necessary to support community safety. The council directed staff to notify residents and clarify how the revenue will be used.
