During the budget discussion Member Mary‑Catherine Graziano expressed concern over aspects of the town's financial records and specifically called out questions about information from the auditors and the transfer of ARPA funds. Graziano said she was not comfortable approving the budget without those questions being answered.
The Selectboard agreed to approve the 2026 budget at the special meeting but also agreed that the outstanding auditor and ARPA transfer questions would be brought to the first agenda item of each monthly meeting beginning in March after town meeting, allowing the board to revisit and resolve the concerns in subsequent sessions.
