Board members said the bulk of the increase reflected one-time costs from damage to the town building after a pipe burst and the resulting flood. Member Mary‑Catherine Graziano said she was uncomfortable approving the budget without answers to questions about information from the auditors and the transfer of ARPA funds; the board nonetheless agreed to approve the budget and to place those questions on the first agenda of each month beginning in March after town meeting for follow-up.
