Council awards Cross Hollow arena building to Falcon Buildings

The council approved awarding the Cross Hollow outdoor covered arena pre‑engineered metal building contract to Falcon Buildings after a staff bid review. Senior Engineer Jonathan Stathis said the city received two responsive bids and the low bidder, Falcon Buildings, had previously provided the building for the Diamond Z Arena addition. "We received two responsive bids. The low bidder stays as Falcon Buildings," Stathis said.
A local second‑low bidder was given the opportunity to match the low bid under purchasing policy and declined. Council voted unanimously to accept the staff recommendation and award the contract to Falcon Buildings. Staff will proceed with scheduling and contracting steps to begin the project.
