At the July 9, 2025 meeting of the Montgomery Town Hall Committee, member Abe Barnard agreed to install snow guards above new staircases and the building heat pump before winter, donating his time and materials so the work does not need to be put out to bid. The committee noted that this contribution covers a pressing winter-safety need for the facility.
The committee also added items to the Happy Bearded Carpenters repair list, including installing a drop box for keys, a document box for contracts, two paper-towel holders, repairing the front-door latch and assessing door-closing issues on emergency exits in the basement and on the Lutz side. Tosca Smith said the committee has a remote thermostat to install and will reach out to Amp Electric for an estimate.
