Selectboard invites fiber-optic group to Feb. 3 meeting; special session planned for old town hall and generator proposal

The Isle La Motte Selectboard voted Jan. 14 to invite the fiber-optic group to the town’s first regular Selectboard meeting in February (Feb. 3, 2026) to introduce themselves and update the public on project progress; the group will be invited to attend via Zoom.
Chair Peter Brzozowy additionally said the board will hold a future special meeting to discuss issues surrounding the old town hall. He noted that Consolidated Communications has expressed interest in installing a diesel generator at its building next to the old town hall; that generator proposal will be scheduled for discussion at a later date.
The board did not make a final decision on the generator at the Jan. 14 meeting; it recorded only that the topic will be placed on a future agenda for more detailed consideration.
