Town Treasurer Mary LaBrecque told the Selectboard Jan. 14 that she plans to redo the Chart of Accounts in the town’s accounting system (NEMRC) to eliminate obsolete accounts and to standardize formatting for the current treasurer.
LaBrecque estimated the additional cost for the NEMRC work at about $700. Board members agreed the cleanup and reformatting would be beneficial for recordkeeping and supported moving forward. The Selectboard recorded that the Chart of Accounts revision would take extra time with NEMRC and noted the expense when setting priorities for the budget calendar.
