The Select Board added consideration of updated State road standards to the agenda and instructed staff to prepare Town language for adoption at the next meeting. Jeff Chase noted that while Mount Holly largely follows the new standards, a few town-specific adjustments are needed. Treasurer Elizabeth Karle reminded the board that any FEMA reimbursement related to road work will require documentation showing the Town is following the updated standards.
Mark Turco proposed updating the Town’s standards and bringing a formal adoption item to the next Select Board meeting. No adoption occurred on Feb. 10; the board asked staff to draft the standards and prepare the necessary supporting documentation to satisfy potential FEMA requirements.
