Council approves RAP tax allotments for parks and arts

Cedar City Council on July 8 approved two separate resolutions to allocate Recreation, Arts and Parks (RAP) tax funds as recommended by advisory boards. The Parks and Recreation advisory board's recommendations and the Arts Advisory Board’s recommendations were each considered and adopted by the council.
Councilmember Carter Wilkey moved to approve the parks allotment resolution and Councilmember Galan moved to approve the arts allotment resolution; both measures carried on recorded council votes. The minutes indicate each resolution passed with recorded ayes; staff will implement the allocations per advisory-board recommendations.
