Military reserve advocates present ESGR Patriot Award to St. Charles County police

Colonel Ed Gritzmager and General Frank Grass of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) addressed the council and honored the St. Charles County Police Department for supporting reservists among their ranks.
Colonel Gritzmager explained ESGR’s role and said the group seeks to educate employers and service members about their responsibilities; he announced awards for department supervisors and noted, "I will be giving out, it will be the Patriot Award to Chief Kurt Frizz" for support during deployments. General Frank Grass praised department personnel and described the importance of employer support for guardsmen and reservists.
The presenters also asked the County Executive to sign a statement of support for the Garden Reserve, which the presenters said they give to businesses and government organizations that support reserve members. The council and County Executive accepted the presentation and joined presenters for photographs; no formal county action or funding decision accompanied the awards.
