Throughout 2023 the Nemaha County Board held multiple public hearings on liquor-license renewals and new applications for establishments in the Brownville area.
At the March 29 meeting the board opened and closed a public hearing on a liquor license for Brownville Development Corp dba River Inn Resort with no attendees and later adopted Resolution #2023-07 to approve the license. In April the board held a hearing and adopted Resolution #2023-08 approving a Nebraska liquor license for Brownville Development Company dba Spirit of Brownville.
The minutes show the public hearings were announced, the record indicated no public attendees in some cases, and the board voted by roll call to adopt the respective resolutions granting licenses or renewals.
