Chad Shelton, owner and editor of Ridgeline magazine, asked the council for the second half of a previously requested RTMP grant award. Shelton said his free print magazine connects visitors with local outdoor recreation and that the spring issue will include distribution at regional kiosks and the PDX airport.—"My name is Chad Shelton. I am the owner and editor of ... It's called Ridgeline," he told the council while describing prior circulation and planned print runs.
Council reviewed the RTMP fund balance (staff said the city’s RTMP allocation arrived in mid-February and totals about $21,000 this cycle) and confirmed the earlier $1,000 payment before moving to approve the additional $1,000. The motion to approve a $1,000 RTMP payment to Ridgeline magazine carried unanimously. Shelton said he will provide an invoice and follow up with additional copies for the city.
