Staff reported that Green Mountain Power has requested affected municipalities complete a questionnaire as part of the Weybridge Hydroelectric Project re-licensing. The Selectboard agreed at its July 7 meeting to invite representatives from Green Mountain Power and Robert Clark of Otter Creek Engineering to an upcoming Selectboard meeting to discuss the underpass to the hydro plant and potential flood-mitigation measures.
Planning staff described the focal issues as flood mitigation for the underpass, and noted that a solution being discussed could include installing a larger culvert to reduce flood risk. Commissioners received the information as an update; no formal action or decision on engineering work occurred at the July 13 meeting.
