Commissioners raised multiple routine maintenance items: significant weed encroachment narrowing the south side of the Canal Trail between 300 North and 650 North, overhanging shrubs on the north end affecting cyclist clearance, and yellowed grass at Jacobson Park that is nevertheless being kept at a usable height.
They also reiterated a recurring request that the volleyball net at Jacobson Park be installed. Staff confirmed the net remains outstanding and additional dirt and leveling work will follow for areas where equipment traffic has left ground uneven. Commissioners asked for trimming and clearance work on the trail to prevent future conflicts for cyclists and pedestrians.
