Clearfield staff finalize July 4 schedule, target amphitheater demolition before festivities

Community Services Deputy Director Curtis Dickson presented the department’s event plan for Independence Day and the surrounding week, listing a Search the City contest (week of June 22), Movie in the Park on June 27, Paint the Bridge on June 29, a Patriotic Concert July 2 at Clearfield High, a Pool Bash July 3 and a July 4 morning 5K, parade and evening festival.
Dickson said amphitheater demolition is targeted for completion before July 4 and that events will involve coordination with volunteers, JustServe and community partners. He noted volunteers are essential for operations and reminded commissioners of plentiful volunteer needs for late June and July events.
Commissioners were informed there will be no commission meeting in July to allow members to support Independence Day operations. No formal votes were taken on event programming; staff will continue operational planning and coordination with public-safety partners.
