The Menno City Council reviewed and approved the December finance report and multiple warrants during its Jan. 5 meeting. The minutes show the checking balance as of Dec. 31, 2025 was $1,168,836.56 and list a reported profit (loss) for the month of $(56,875.81). Councilman Jacob Mettler moved to approve the December finance report; Jerry Fischer seconded and the motion passed with all votes aye.
Council also approved annual contributions of $2,000 to the Menno School gym and $774 to the Menno Museum (motion by Ron Diede; seconded by Amber Cross). Warrants approved include payments such as Catalis PWE website hosting $1,295.00 and Myers Sanitation $6,735.57 among other vendor payments for utilities, insurance, and supplies.
