Menno council adopts resolution to pre-authorize recurring municipal payments

The motion was made by Councilman Jacob Mettler and seconded by Councilman Ron Diede; Councilmembers George Cokens, Amber Cross, Ron Diede, Jerry Fischer and Jacob Mettler voted aye.
The resolution directs the Finance Officer to present the payments for ratification at the next regular council meeting. The measure was presented as a routine governance step to ensure timely payments for obligations that can fluctuate month to month, and the minutes record the resolution as approved and adopted on Jan. 5, 2026.
