Library trustees Kristin Swartzentruber and Darcy Cummings presented the budget and answered Selectboard questions before the motion to approve carried (mover: Chris Bataille; second: Marie Jewett). The meeting minutes record that the trustees left the meeting after the approval. The budget will appear as an article on the town meeting warning for voter consideration.
Board members did not record follow-up conditions tied to the approval. The library presentation marked the first year the Municipal Library has its own line item on the town meeting warning, a change made to align with guidance from the Vermont League of Cities and Towns and the town’s outside auditors.
