Lowell council appoints Kristen Murray to library committee and William Priser to planning commission

At the Oct. 21 meeting the Lowell City Council appointed Kristen Murray to Position No. 3 on the Library Committee and William Priser to Position No. 3 on the Planning Commission; both appointments run through Dec. 31, 2025. Councilor Tim Stratis moved to appoint Kristen Murray (seconded by Councilor Don Bennett), and Councilor Jimmy Murray moved to appoint William Priser (seconded by Councilor Don Bennett). Both motions passed unanimously.
The minutes note that Priser was present at the meeting and that City Administrator Max Baker will include him in the next meeting packet and provide orientation material so he can begin his term. The appointments fill long-standing vacancies and, in the case of the planning commission, are intended to reduce future quorum issues for public hearings.
