Council approves $2,500 transfer to BlackBerry Jam Fund to support event and car show

City Administrator Max Baker presented Resolution 862 to transfer $2,500 from the General Fund to the BlackBerry Jam Fund, an appropriation the city approved in its budget to provide cash on hand for the event. Baker said the funds will replenish jam stock, may be used to purchase event t-shirts, and provide startup capital for the car show returning this year.
In response to a council question about trophies, Baker confirmed that the event organizer pays trophy expenses from entry fees and t-shirt sales. Councilor Jimmy Murray moved approval, Councilor Don Bennett seconded, and the resolution passed unanimously.
