District staff described the request for proposals (RFP) for a facilities assessment and long-range facility plan: the RFP was posted June 23, closed July 14 and drew 10 submissions; one out-of-state firm was disqualified for incorrect information. The proposals were scored on six weighted criteria emphasizing relevant Minnesota work, fee structure, prior facilities-assessment experience, references, staff experience, and ability to meet the district's timeline (August–March).
"We moved 4 firms forward for an interview, in 1 week from today," staff (Zach) said, listing the firms: "ICS, Ingenza, SiteLogic, and ISG slash Bradbury Stamm as they submitted their proposal together." Interviews are scheduled for Aug. 3; the district committee will recommend a firm to the full board in August and the recommended firm will present at the Aug. 24 meeting. The board received no objection; selection will require full-board approval once the committee recommendation is made.
