Nemaha County solicited sealed bids for multiple stream-rehabilitation and EWP (Emergency Watershed Protection) projects during 2020. Bids were publicly opened and the county evaluated them with Mainelli Wagner engineers before awarding contracts.
Site-specific awards included a contract to Malone Construction Company Inc for culvert/headwall installations and Circle A Construction Inc and High Plains Enterprises for various stream-rehabilitation sites (sites 430, 433, 434, 435 and 436). The board’s motion accepted the low and verified bids on a contingent basis pending engineering verification by Mainelli Wagner.
The actions follow federal/state EWP program processes and required project verification before notices to proceed. The county recorded the bids, the motions to accept them and the contract signatures in public minutes.
