The Westfir City Council voted to accept the resignation of relief city operator Josh Nelson and formally declared the position vacant. Committee member (S6) moved to accept the resignation and Committee member (S4) seconded; Clerk (S2) called the roll and Mayor Williams, Councilor Paco, Councilor Feuill and Councilor Johnston each answered "Aye," approving the motion.
The motion followed earlier discussion about the job posting and candidate qualifications. Clerk (S2) told the council the first review of applications is scheduled for Jan. 6 and the council confirmed requirements such as a valid driver’s license and a preference for six months of public-works experience. No additional formal actions were taken at the meeting beyond the vacancy declaration.
