The College Station ISD Board of Trustees approved an order calling a general election on Nov. 3, 2026, to elect at-large trustees for Place 6 and Place 7 and also authorized an interlocal agreement with Brazos County to provide election services.
Finance and legal staff explained the order includes the statutory notice required by Texas law and that districts may enter into contracts with counties under state election code provisions. The interlocal partnership means the district will share local election costs with other jurisdictions voting the same day.
The board approved both items by a 7–0 vote after a motion reported as moved by Dr. Payne and seconded by Ms. Wilson. Trustees discussed timing and the cost-sharing benefit of holding joint elections with municipalities and the county.
