Chair John Roleau moved the board into executive session at 7:17 p.m. under client-attorney privilege to discuss the discontinuance process; the motion passed 5–0.
Mike Audy joined the meeting by cell phone during the session. The board exited executive session at 7:49 p.m. on a motion by Bruce Many, seconded by Chris Bataille; that motion also passed 5–0. Following the closed-session discussion, the Selectboard agreed to move forward with discontinuance and scheduled a site visit at the north entrance off Hallock Road for Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. The board set a public hearing on the discontinuance for Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the New Haven Town Offices.
