Legal staff (S2) and chair (S1) discussed timing; commissioners proposed July 14 for the hearing but agreed a July 21 fallback is reasonable if timing, staffing, or notice prevents the earlier date. Chair advised staff to get the finalized drafts into the meeting packet with at least 10 days’ notice so the hearing record is valid for adoption consideration.
Commissioners also agreed to place three planning‑and‑zoning applicants on the next commission agenda for appointment (two full members and one alternate). The commission emphasized completing the legal review and final edits before public notice goes out.
