Menno police report accepted; council approves transfer of rifle to department

Councilmember George Cokens moved, and Amber Cross seconded, to accept the monthly police report. The report recorded a welfare check, traffic stop, grant work, file transfers, an arrest for possession of a controlled substance and related paraphernalia and threatening charges, and the removal of an unwanted house guest.
The council also approved accepting the sale of a Palmetto PA-15 multi rifle from Conan Bagley to the Menno Police Department for $1.00 on a motion by Jerry Fischer, seconded by Terah Schoenfish. The transfer was recorded in the minutes as approved by unanimous vote.
