The Selectboard reviewed two quotes from Quarry Hill Construction for the Town Hall front doors. Option 1 would reuse the existing frame and threshold and install new 2-inch-thick doors for $13,433.15. Option 2 called for removing and replacing the frame, jamb, threshold and associated trim and siding work with new 2-inch-thick doors and related framework at a total cost of $15,614.70.
John Roleau moved to hire Quarry Hill Construction for Option 2 at $15,614.70; the motion was seconded by Marie Jewett and approved 5–0. The board did not record extended discussion on alternatives or financing in the minutes; the contract amount will appear in vendor records.
