Budget committee elects officers ahead of budget adoption cycle

The budget committee elected Dallin Watts as chair and Crystal Green as vice chair to lead review of the 2026–27 proposed budget and to help coordinate questions with staff ahead of May recommendations and the June adoption deadline.
During the opening of the budget committee portion of the meeting, members nominated and elected Dallin Watts as chair and Crystal Green as vice chair to preside over the budget committee’s review of the proposed 2026–27 budget.
Mark Johnson nominated Watts; another committee member seconded the nomination. Watts accepted the nomination and the chair announced the selection. Crystal Green was nominated and seconded for vice chair and accepted. The committee will meet again in May to further review the proposal before recommending adoption to the board.
