Gilmanton board OKs public hearing on Town Clerk fee changes including phased sticker increases

Town Clerk/Tax Collector Elise Smith presented a package of proposed fee changes and the Board voted 3-0 to hold a public hearing on the proposals.
Smith described an additional dollar per dog license, noted an RSA update in July requiring a $6.50 puppy fee with an additional $2 charge, and proposed a phased increase for transportation/transfer-station stickers — $6.25 in 2027 and $12.50 in 2028 — intended to move users toward paying for the services they use. The Board’s motion to hold a public hearing was made by Chairman Meredith Kelley and seconded by Selectman Parker Hoffacker and recorded as passed (3-0).
