The Okmulgee Board of Education met in an emergency session Aug. 4, 2025, and unanimously declared an emergency to allow discussion of immediate actions. The motion to declare the emergency was made by Mr. Keith Baldridge and seconded by Ms. Vickie Jones; the board recorded Aye votes from Mr. Mike James, Mr. Leroy Parker, Ms. Vickie Jones and Mr. Keith Baldridge.
Following the engineering presentation, the board voted to move classes from OHS to a new location for the start of the FY26 school year. Mr. Leroy Parker moved the relocation motion, Ms. Jones seconded, and the motion carried unanimously. The board also approved authorizing any necessary changes to previously approved FY26 systems and calendars to accommodate the move. The meeting was called to order at 4:31 PM and adjourned at 4:57 PM.
