Kevin said staff had received mostly favorable comments on the cannabis advertising draft intended to implement engrossed House Bill 5206 and will consider minor revisions before asking the board next month to approve filing a CR-102. "Public comments on the cannabis advertising draft to implement engrossed House Bill 5,206 were due last month, and we received some good feedback, mostly favorable, but we are considering a few minor revisions...and expect to have this 1 ready to present at next month's board meeting to request approval to file the CR 102," Kevin said.
On retail management agreements (implementing ESSB 5403), Kevin said the project is more complex than anticipated and staff are taking extra time to align stakeholders; the team plans to post a stakeholder draft in the coming weeks and announce sessions by the end of the month. Staff also plan to finalize a stakeholder draft for petition-driven R&D testing and samples rulemaking and share drafts and stakeholder sessions for March. The rules team said it will present recommendations to the board as drafts are finalized and stakeholder input is incorporated.
