Rules team delays CR-102 filing on contract kitchens after late stakeholder feedback

Public comments on the contract kitchens rule to implement House Bill 1602 were due Jan. 23; late stakeholder feedback prompted staff to revise the draft and push the CR-102 filing to next month, with CR-103 expected in April pending board approval.
Kevin told the board that public comments on the contract kitchens draft (to implement engrossed House Bill 1602) closed Jan. 23 but that late stakeholder input requires additional revisions. As a result, staff moved a previously anticipated CR-102 filing from this month to next month, and indicated CR-103 would follow in April, pending board approval.
"Public comments on the latest draft of the contract kitchens rule to implement in grossed House Bill 1602 were also due last month on the 23rd...because of some of the late stakeholder feedback that we received, that warranted further consideration, we're currently working to update the draft with additional input from our project team and we're now planning to file the CR-102 next month, provided board approval, and then move on to the CR-103 in April," Kevin said. Staff will return with the revised draft and a proposed filing timeline.
