The Board of Education of Pawnee Independent School District No. I001 unanimously voted Feb. 19 to accept the low bid from Baker Group/American Heritage for the sale of $935,000 in taxable building bonds dated April 1, 2026. Vice President Savannah Waters moved to accept the bid; Clerk John Henry seconded the motion, and trustees voted yes (Henry, Waters, Rapp, Higgins, Vance).
The board received four bids. Reported terms were: Baker Group/American Heritage (bank premium $327.72; net interest cost $78,212.28; average interest rate 4.182475%), Exchange Bank, Skiatook (bank premium $400.00; net interest cost $79,075.00; average interest rate 4.228610%), Northland Security (bank premium $0; net interest cost $79,475.00; average interest rate 4.25%), and FB&T/Commerce Bank (bank premium $364.65; net interest cost $83,785.35; average interest rate 4.4805%). The motion to accept Baker Group/American Heritagewas recorded in the minutes and carried unanimously.
Separately, the board approved a resolution authorizing the issuance of the $935,000 taxable building bonds, prescribing form and registration procedures and providing for an annual tax levy for payment of principal and interest. Member Tiffany Higgins moved to authorize issuance of the bonds; Gary Vance seconded, and the motion passed with all members voting in favor.
