Middle School/High School Principal Tammy Hixon reported that both basketball and wrestling programs had active schedules despite recent weather; wrestling regionals were set to begin the following week and the district playoff for basketball will be in Preston. Hixon also thanked the PTO for donating Kleenex to classrooms: "I would like to start off by thanking the PTO for their generous donation of Kleenexes for our high school and middle school classrooms."
Hixon noted Senior Signing Day in which three seniors — Aiden Jones, Jaslene Garcia Howell, and Cale McPeek — signed letters of intent to continue athletic and academic careers at the collegiate level. She also said two students, Emmie McPeek and Cheyenne Chuleewah, are finalists in the Indian Electric Essay contest and reminded the public of upcoming events including parent-teacher conferences and a middle school Valentine’s Dance organized by the Title VI Parent Committee.
