Council approves windmill for sewer-pond aeration and engine repair for mower

Maintenance Supervisor Hanisch reported the need for a sewer-pond aeration system or windmill for pond 1 and noted chemicals to assist sludge breakdown had already been approved at a prior meeting. The council approved Action 25-033 to purchase a windmill for aeration of pond 1; the motion passed unanimously by roll call.
Hanisch also presented options for lawn-mower maintenance: repair the existing grasshopper mower or purchase a new mower. The council approved Action 25-034 to purchase a long block engine and have Maintenance Supervisor Hanisch repair the grasshopper mower; purchase of a new mower was tabled pending additional price comparisons. The Finance Officer and Maintenance Supervisor will pursue procurement and repair arrangements.
