The Montrose City Council on Feb. 11 reviewed its 2025 punch list and discussed multiple park projects including renovation of the baseball building versus purchasing a portable concessions/restroom building, installation of a softball scoreboard, renovation or replacement of the basketball/tennis court, volleyball sand pit removal, and purchase of park benches.
Council voted to table the baseball building renovation discussion (Action 25-026) to gather further information and directed the Finance Officer to provide additional renovation cost estimates for the basketball-multipurpose court. Council approved Action 25-027 to purchase two new park benches to place near playground areas; the motion passed by unanimous roll-call vote. The minutes record discussion of softball scoreboard plans and other park priorities but no final decisions on those items.
