The Workers' Compensation Management-Labor Advisory Committee convened virtually on Jan. 22, 2026. Co-Chair Scott Strickland called the meeting to order, Teri Watson called roll, and a quorum was present. Public comment was taken, including several physicians who spoke on LC 241.
During the meeting MLAC approved minutes from its Jan. 8 meeting on a motion by Sara Duckwall, seconded by Stacy Lewallen; the motion passed with no abstentions or opposition. The committee received presentations on LC 26 (BOLI funding/SB 1506), LC 178 (SAIF red-line on time‑loss calculations), and LC 241 (HB 4040, PA/NP attending authority). Members took a brief caucus for outstanding items and were told final language and analyses would be circulated prior to the Feb. 5 meeting. Co-Chair Strickland adjourned the meeting at 11:04 a.m.
