Board gives homeowner until Oct. 27 to clear outdoor storage after pool secured

The Winter Springs Code Enforcement Board found there was sufficient evidence that a property associated with Case 2026CE000938648 was in violation of city ordinance after staff presented photographs and inspection testimony.
Laurie Revel of the Code Compliance Division said the pool had been drained and secured and presented photographs of outdoor storage remaining on the property. A resident statement acknowledged the pool work had been completed but said removing stored items was difficult because the resident is elderly and on a restricted income. A board member moved to find violations substantiated by the inspector’s photographs and testimony and to set October 27, 2026 as the deadline for full compliance. The motion included a $50 per‑day fine if the respondent fails to meet the deadline. "The pool is not an issue anymore and that the respondent be given until October 27 to establish compliance," the mover said during the hearing.
Staff will reinspect the property and report compliance to code enforcement if the order is met. The board suggested community volunteer resources (a neighbor‑to‑neighbor program) as a possible help for the resident to remove remaining items.
