Representatives from Oregon Women and Timber and the Working Watersheds Cooperative presented two checks—$23,000 each, totaling $46,000—to benefit fisheries and CTE programs serving Warrenton students.
"Tonight, we have 2 checks each for $23,000, 1 for the high school fisheries program and 1 for the CTE program. So $46,000 tonight given to Warrenton students," Jenny Johnson of Oregon Women and Timber told the board, describing the auction that has raised funds across the county since 2022. She said the fundraiser—held the third Thursday in January—has distributed over $700,000 to five high schools in Clatsop County since 2022.
Board members thanked the presenters and requested a future summary showing how funds have been used in past years. Administrators agreed to provide a short report at a future meeting.
