City staff presented a proposal to replace aging audiovisual and streaming equipment used to broadcast commission meetings. IT/AV staff described the existing system as having components that were original to a 25‑year installation and noted piecemeal fixes would not guarantee reliability. The AV director said, "Fundamentally, I do [feel this is reasonable]. We put a lot of effort and energy into analyzing our options...from my perspective, it's reasonable given the complete replacement of everything that runs in the AV room."
Commissioners discussed community value of remote access and possible inclusion of the project in outreach about spending priorities; one commissioner proposed that the AV replacement be an option for inclusion in millage‑funded capital choices during district roadshows. The motion to approve the consent item passed on a voice vote.
