City staff report: new officer, food truck pilot, mural dedication and software updates

City Administrator Tonya Wallace provided multiple operational and project updates at the June 17 meeting.
Wallace reported personnel news: Officer Tyler Hunt completed the police academy. She said staff are researching a Youth Summer Work Program. On operations and projects, Wallace said the State Auditor was on-site that week, two Comprehensive Plan amendment applications have been received, cemetery records are being migrated to new software, and the city is transitioning to an online-only Special Event Application form. She said staff are targeting July 1 to kick off a Pilot Food Truck Program and requested airport planners update the Airport Layout Plan from 2006.
Wallace also noted the Civic Center mural is complete and the official dedication will be June 27 at 1:00 p.m. She thanked volunteer Aaron Williamson for mowing the Disc Golf Course fairways after public comment from Teige Venemon that the course "mowed and looks good."
