The session began at 3:06 pm, was extended by five minutes at 3:16 pm and by an additional two minutes at 3:21 pm, and concluded at 3:23 pm when the meeting returned to open session.
After returning from closed session, the commission addressed new business and procedural items. Commissioners voted to add "Discussion Regarding Civil Service Records" to the agenda. Later in the meeting, following Commissioner Jim Earle’s announcement of his resignation, the commission directed Secretary Charles Martin to post notice of the vacancy, cancelled the June 18 Civil Service workshop, and adjourned the meeting at 3:48 pm.
The meeting packet lists a 2:30 pm start time, but the minutes record the meeting being called to order at 3:05 pm; the minutes do not explain that discrepancy. The record states that all formal votes taken were carried unanimously by commissioners present at the time of each vote.
