Board adds Wrayburn/Hollyhock intersection to repaving plan, hears call to accelerate Hollyhock pathway

The Elm Grove Board voted June 23 to extend the 2026 road repaving contract to include the Wrayburn and Hollyhock intersection at an additional cost of $26,000.
President James Koleski told the board this work is adjacent to already scheduled paving and is cost-efficient; the $26,000 will be taken from project contingency, which the board was told carries a $31,000 balance. Trustee Castile moved and Trustee Olson seconded the motion; it passed unanimously (6 ayes).
Earlier in the meeting during public comment, resident Stacy Barry Coffey thanked the village for pathway work and asked that the Hollyhock pathway plan be moved up to take advantage of concurrent intersection construction. Barry Coffey also asked how funding would be arranged for a county-led Pilgrim Road pathway under the SE WI 250 plan. President Koleski said funding is allocated for the two village pathways and suggested residents raise detailed concerns with the Public Works Committee or the ad-hoc pathways committee when reconvened.
The board approved the repaving scope extension as a contingency-funded amendment to the 2026 paving project; staff did not provide a revised overall project timeline at the meeting.
