The Elm Grove Board of Trustees on June 23 approved an amended conditional use permit for 1095 Red Barn Lane after staff identified a slight increase in lot coverage.
Assistant Village Manager Sowl told the board the original permit did not account for a 15-square-foot portico base that constitutes hard surface and that a change in general contractor revealed a slightly larger building footprint; the net effect raised lot coverage from 32.6% to 32.7%, which Sowl said remains within permissible limits. The Plan Commission reviewed the amendment on June 1 and forwarded it to the board with a recommendation for approval.
Trustee Olson moved and Trustee Castile seconded the motion to approve the amended permit; the motion passed by unanimous vote (6 ayes). The approval follows the Plan Commission review and does not appear to change other permit conditions or impose new restrictions.
The board did not receive public comment on the matter during the public hearing, which President James Koleski opened and closed at 7:05 p.m.
