New superintendent thanks board, says district will be fully staffed; proposes board retreat

The district’s new superintendent used the July meeting to introduce themself to the board and to thank staff and community members for the welcome. "I truly, truly want to thank the scribe board for, entrusting me with this opportunity to be a superintendent," the superintendent said, adding that they had only been in post for a few days and were excited to return home to the district.
The superintendent praised custodial and administrative staff for summer work, noted principals Mrs. Nagel and Mrs. Carr had just started on July 1, and credited Ms. Lettke for temporarily filling multiple roles during the transition. The superintendent said the district would be fully staffed after the hires approved later in the meeting and invited the board to consider a short retreat to review goals and priorities for the coming year.
Board members welcomed the remarks and moved into officer elections and routine agenda items.
