Mr. Russ gave a facilities update: Meadowview remains on schedule for completion around the end of October; playground equipment deliveries are imminent; the SHS retaining wall work has required soil corrections and a specialist; TechEd exterior work is progressing and interior spaces are expected by late September.
On abatement, Mr. Russ confirmed asbestos remediation was completed in several rooms and hallways at the Montessori site and that remaining abatement work is planned for summer 2027. Board members raised safety concerns about contractors leaving tools and materials on site; one member said the gate by the high-school track was down and that shovels and nails at Meadowview posed hazards. Mr. Russ acknowledged the concerns and said staff would address cleanup and check the high-school site.
